What is Underfloor Heating ?

Underfloor heating is a series of pipes that are laid under the floor and to a boiler. Once the underfloor heating has been laid the boiler will then circulate warm water under the floor to heat the space above.

The system is designed to use water at a much lower temperature compare to a single radiator because it distributes heat more evenly throughout the room, this means that not only is it a more efficient source of heating but it also heats up those cold floors during those cold days.

What type of floor can be used on top of the heating?

A underfloor heating system can sit beneath the following types of floor:

  • Stone
  • Tile
  • Wooden Floors
  • Carpets

What are the advantages of a underfloor heating system?

  • Cheaper to run
